Spreemo, a New York-based healthcare analytics company, is building up its leadership team, hiring two new executives.
Marty Sholder has been named president and chief operating officer, and Gretchen Westerhoff is the new vice president of operations. Both of them will be in the company’s Dallas office, the company said in a statement to Health Exec.
Sholder will oversee Spreemo’s expansion strategy as it increases demand from payers and patients for data-driven insights that reveal provider’s quality of care. Westerhoff will work with Sholder closely to help realize these business goals.
“Spreemo’s growth and success to-date has been driven both by our commitment to high-quality patient care, as well as by our unrelenting focus on high-quality customer service,” said CEO Ron Vianu in the statement. “We’re extremely excited to welcome Marty and Gretchen to our team and look forward to their leadership as we continue to enhance our offering to bring better care to patients and better service to all our payers and provider partners.”
Sholder was executive vice president at HealthSmart, a healthcare benefit administrator in Irving, Texas, and senior vice president at Coventry Health Care, a subsidiary of Aetna based in Bethesda, Maryland. Additionally, he’s held leadership roles at CompNet America, Strategic Partners, Integrated Medical Delivery and PPO Oklahoma.
Prior to joining Spreemo, Westerhoff was senior vice president of operations at MedAssets, a healthcare performance improvement company in Alpharetta, Georgia.
"Above all else, Spreemo has worked tirelessly to champion the importance of clinical quality in patient care," Westerhoff said in the statement. "I look forward to paving the way for future growth opportunities and creating an operating environment that not only supports the company’s vision, but also meets and exceeds the increasing demand for an evidence-based understanding of quality care.”
