Apple opening health clinics for its employees

Apple is launching a new primary care group to provide care for its employees in Santa Clara County, California, according to CNBC.

Called AC Wellness, the initiative will start with two clinics focusing solely on Apple employees and their families in the tech giant’s home county. The website acwellness.com lists several open jobs, including primary care physicians, an on-site phlebotomist, exercise coaches and care navigators.

“Candidates must have an appreciation for the patient experience and passion for wellness and population health—integrating best clinical practices and technology in a manner that drives patient engagement,” the site says.

According to CNBC, several former employees of Stanford Health Care have been affiliated with AC Wellness for at least five months. It also reported from company sources that Apple will use its clinics to test out its own healthcare services and products before rolling them out to general consumers.
