The healthcare debate has moved into the limelight as the Democratic presidential primary race heats up.
According to The Hill, the debate has centered around Medicare-for-all proposals, which have been adopted by several Democratic candidates. Vice President Joe Biden, the current frontrunner in the field of candidates, recently took a swipe at Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) universal healthcare plan, further ramping up the dialogue, The Hill reported.
Candidates are largely split on pushing forward Medicare-for-all or expanding the Affordable Care Act, or ObamaCare.
The ongoing “sniping” between Sanders and Biden also comes at a time when the ACA is under its biggest threat to date as a lawsuit could overturn the entire healthcare law.
