The healthcare industry is poised to see a 40 percent increase in the artificial intelligence (AI) market in the coming years—and, despite heavy regulations, the industry continues to improve utilization.
The ability to utilize and optimize AI could benefit healthcare in all sectors, but mostly in improving convenience and cost of care.
“I have no doubt that sophisticated learning and AI algorithms will find a place in health care over the coming years,” said Andy Schuetz, a senior data scientist at Sutter Health. “I don’t know if it’s two years or 10—but it’s coming.”
