A number of healthcare companies were designated among Glassdoor’s 100 “Best Places to Work” list for 2021.
The list, which represents 100 large U.S. employers, includes companies from all industries and features six biotech and pharmaceutical companies––a 200% increase from last year’s list, according to Glassdoor.
Here are the healthcare and healthcare-adjacent companies that made the cut for 2021:

The companies are chosen based on feedback from employees who submitted a company review anonymously, as well as rated their employers, the CEO and other workplace attributes. The rankings require a minimum number of submissions; for the large companies, at least 75 ratings across eighth workplace attributes are required and companies need to have at least 1,000 employees.
In 2021, employees took Covid-19 actions to heart when reviewing their employers, placing a high priority on safety and support.
"COVID-19 is in the driver's seat and every employer has been impacted. This year's winning employers have proven, according to employees, that even during extraordinary times, they'll rise to the challenge to support their people," Christian Sutherland-Wong, Glassdoor CEO, said in a statement. "A mission-driven culture, transparent leadership and career opportunities are always hallmarks of Best Places to Work winners. This year, we also see exceptional employers who have prioritized the health, safety and well-being of their employees.”
